Setup

How a skill gets from the library into your work.

Skills run on Claude. Nothing to install, no code. Three steps, once per skill.

  1. 01

    Download the skill file

Open the skill in the library and download it. You get a small archive with a SKILL.md file inside it, plus any templates the skill uses.

  2. 02

    Add the file to Claude

Go to claude.ai. Create a project for your business, or open a new conversation, and add the file there. On a paid Claude plan you can keep it as a project file so every conversation reads it. On the free plan you attach the file to the conversation you are working in.

  3. 03

    Describe your business once

Tell Claude who you serve, how you sell and the tone you use. Keep it in the project so you never repeat it. Then give a short brief and the skill produces the deliverable.

Where the file goes

In Claude, files live on the project or on the conversation.

Add the skill file under project files to keep it available, or attach it directly in the conversation you are working in.

Good to know

Skills are written for Claude at claude.ai. They work with a free or paid account; a paid plan lets you keep the file as a project file so it stays available across conversations.

Each skill carries its own documentation. Read it once, then work from short briefs. The skill holds the method so you do not have to remember it.
